The Takayama Autumn Festival (Hachiman Festival) is a traditional festival held annually from October 9 to 10. The highlights include the magnificent floats and karakuri puppets, especially during the evening festival when the floats illuminated by lanterns parade through the town. It’s truly a breathtaking sight.
Due to traffic regulations, it is recommended to use shuttle buses. Also, please refrain from touching the floats and enjoy while observing proper etiquette.
