The 'Kiso Yoshinaka's Uprising Warrior Parade' will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2023. It is the highlight of the Shinshu Maruko Yoshinaka Festival, featuring participants dressed in armor and creating a parade of about 100 people. Special guests include Yasuhiro Ohno as Kiso Yoshinaka and Sayaka Akimoto as Tomoe Gozen.
Anyone can apply to participate as long as they are in the 4th grade or above. Costume preferences are also accepted. Residents, students, or employees in Ueda City can join free of charge, while others will be required to pay 5,000 yen per person. The application period is from August 3 to September 11, 2023.
